If you meet the above criteria, you can apply for a loan here.

Age

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

UK resident

To borrow from Mr Lender you have to be a UK resident. If you live outside of the UK, we will not be able to provide you with a loan.

Valid debt card

Applicants are required to have a valid debit card, linked to the bank account your salary is paid into.

When it comes to making collections, like most short term lenders we use a method called Continuous Payment Authority. This allows the vendor to collect money from the customer’s account automatically on their repayment date each month, rather than having to call up and manually make repayment by phone or bank transfer – enabling a smooth transaction.

Income of at least £800 (net) per month

You need to have a regular income of at least £800 (net) per month. This can be through full or part-time employment.

No bankruptcy, IVAs or CCJs in the last 3 years

We cannot offer loans to those who have experienced serious money problems in the last 3 years such as a County Court Judgement.

This reason is that our short term loans are designed to be a temporary solution to an emergency expense like a broken boiler or car repair – and our loans are not made to help those overcome long-term money issues.

Further checks

If you meet the criteria above, it means that you will be eligible to apply for a loan with Mr Lender. However, for your loan to be approved, your application must undergo further checks including credit scoring and affordability assessments.

The credit checks are carried out via a credit reference agency. The affordability assessments are conducted to match how much you have asked to borrow and how much you can afford to repay. So we will assess your current income and expenditure, and determine the right amount for you to borrow that won’t cause you financial difficulty.

A final phone call to confirm your details and ask some additional questions and provided your application is successful, you can receive the funds to your debit account, usually within one hour.
